UnBleached Uncoated Kraft paper

Unbleached kraft paper is a durable, eco-friendly option for packaging beverages and heavy-duty products due to its tear-resistant properties, lightweight nature, and decades-long proven performance.

Why use it

  • eco-friendly
  • Light Weight
  • Durable and Tear-resistant

Why not use it

  • As it is not coated, the porous surface can compromise the accuracy of fine prints
  • The printed colors seem to be slightly dull and washed-out.When printing using CMYK colors on this material, a brown undertone may appear due to its natural color.

Overview

Unbleached and uncoated kraft paper is designed with two layers that provide exceptional strength and durability, using less virgin wood fiber. It is also visually appealing with its natural brown appearance. However, its highly textured surface may cause issues with printability. To overcome this, it can be treated the same way as bleached paperboard, by using coatings or films to create a printable and water-resistant surface.
